Monday – Pray For Global Anglicans

In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene, during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness.  (Luke 3:1-2)

O God our King, the world is enthralled by people of status and power who vaunt their own kingdoms and causes against yours. Yet your word, on which life depends, comes to us, people of little significance passing through this world as pilgrims through a wilderness.

Help Anglicans everywhere, Holy God, by the Holy Spirit, to receive the power of Christ Jesus in our weakness, to be your witnesses to the whole creation. We pray in the Name of Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
